Cookie Policy
This page explains every piece of browser storage PRPharm uses. We keep this list short on purpose — if something isn't listed here, we're not setting it.
What we currently use
| Name / type | Purpose | Duration | Essential? |
|---|---|---|---|
localStorage: prpharm-theme | Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode | Until you clear site data | Yes — functional only, no tracking |
That's the only browser storage currently active on this Site. It never leaves your browser and contains no personal information.
What activates when analytics is turned on
We plan to use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic patterns (which pages are useful, roughly how visitors find the Site). As of this writing, GA4 is not yet active on prpharm.com. The day it is, this policy — and a cookie-consent banner for visitors where required by law — will be updated first, before any analytics cookie is set. GA4 cookies, when active, typically include:
| Name (typical) | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes unique visitors (no personal identity) | ~2 years |
_ga_<container-id> | Persists session state for GA4 | ~2 years |
Your choices
- Once analytics is active, a consent banner will let you decline non-essential analytics cookies before they're set — declining will not restrict access to any page or feature.
- You can block or delete cookies and local storage at any time through your browser's settings. This may reset your theme preference but won't otherwise affect the Site.
- Browser extensions (ad blockers, tracking protection) that block Google Analytics will prevent those cookies from being set, with no effect on the Site's functionality.
Third-party sites
Links to pharmacies, discount programs, and reference databases (FDA, RxNorm, Health Canada) take you to sites we don't control, which may set their own cookies under their own policies. See our Advertising Disclosure.
